Marguerite Bornhauser

An enigmatic storyteller whose work is punctuated by vivid colours, Marguerite Bornhauser creates images that are contemporary, accessible and resonant. Her practice makes use of both spontaneous and constructed scenes, with a refreshing eye for composition. Each image of Marguerite’s remains unnamed; a resistance to contextualise the narrative, allowing the viewer’s imagination wider scope.

Marguerite has exhibited her series Moisson Rouge (Red Harvest) at Paris Photo (2019) and Editions de La Martinière (2021). Her most notable series, 8 and Moisson Rouge are both published by Poursuite Editions.
